Interrupted lava was founded by Lara Süß (voc) and Eva-Maria Karbacher (sax) in Basel in 2020. The two musicians meet in a dynamic dialogue, quick-witted and full of energy, concentrated and with open ears. The result is a multi-layered music that goes down its own paths, explores borders and integrates the unexpected as a new possibility in the flow of playing. The voice and the saxophone sometimes complement each other to form a visco-elastic stream, then again to form a fragile structure. Tightly woven textures alternate with consonant sound worlds.
